ELEARNING AT CLAYPOOL

eLearning is learning utilizing electronic technologies to access educational curriculum outside of a traditional classroom. It is interactive in that students can also communicate with their teachers and other students in their classes.

When an eLearning day is called due to a school closing, Claypool will proceed with the following expectations:

  • Students go to their teacher link to complete all assigned lessons for that day.

  • Students participate in-class activities, such as Google Meets or access materials as directed.

  • Securly Login Instructions - YouTube Video

To access your child’s lessons and activities, please click on the eLearning link below, then click on your child’s teacher. eLearning lessons will be posted by 9:00 a.m. each morning if the cancellation is determined the previous evening. eLearning lessons will be posted by 11 am if the morning begins with a two-hour delay followed by a cancellation.

eLearning days are REQUIRED, just like all the other school days. Teachers are available throughout the day to assist all students. It is highly recommended that eLearning lessons are completed on the day of the school cancellation. We realize that internet access may be a problem for some of our families. For this reason, students have up to three additional school days to complete eLearning lessons.

To assist families who do not have internet access, the media center will be open before school (8:15-9:00 a.m.) and after school (4:00 -5:00 p.m.) for three days after an eLearning day. If your child needs to stay after school to complete eLearning, please send a note or call the school office at 574-566-2300. Students may come home with materials that still need to be completed and returned to school the following day.
