Have you ever heard your student talk about Heggerty and found yourself wondering what that means? Heggerty is a teaching tool used to help young students get better at hearing and working with the sounds in words. Think of it like training for their ears and brains to recognize and play with the building blocks of language. The program involves short, daily activities where students practice things like rhyming, breaking words into sounds, and blending sounds together. This skill-building is important because it helps them become better readers and writers as they grow. This picture shows Miss Flohr and her students doing their daily Heggerty lesson. Notice that it's not just speaking, but also hand motions that go along with the activities. #WarsawInspires

Today our students participated in PBIS stations. During these stations students learn/are reminded of the expectations and procedures throughout the school. Doing these stations ensures that all students and staff are held to the same expectations. Stations include restroom, cafeteria, technology, recess, bus, and parent pick-up.
